Interfacing LCD with Arduino

How to interface LCD with Arduino Uno ?

Ans: Simple but need to know how it works !

This post is all about showing you how to interface LCD with Arduino and code the Arduino to display the required message on it.

So lets begin :

You need to have all these components,
1. LCD.
2. Arduino Uno or Arduino Nano.
3. Jumper wires.
4. 10K Potentiometer.
5. 220Ohms Resistance.
6. Connecting wires.

Circuit Diagram is,

When your using LCD of 16x2 then this is the connection, but when your LCD changes accordingly its connections are also changes.

 Code for Arduino,

#include <LiquidCrystal.h>
LiquidCrystal lcd(13,12,11,10,9,8);
void setup()
{
 lcd.begin(16,2);

}

void loop()
{
  int sd = 500, bd = 2000;
  lcd.clear();
 lcd.setCursor(0,0);
 lcd.print("  Unique Tech  ");
 lcd.setCursor(0,1);
 lcd.print("    Designs.    ");
 delay(bd);
 lcd.clear();
 lcd.setCursor(2,0);
 lcd.print("Inspired by");
 lcd.setCursor(4,1);
 lcd.print("D");
 delay(sd);
 lcd.print("E");
 delay(sd);
 lcd.print("S");
 delay(sd);
 lcd.print("I");
 delay(sd);
 lcd.print("G");
 delay(sd);
 lcd.print("N");
 delay(sd);
 lcd.print("S");
 delay(sd);
 lcd.print("!");
 delay(sd);
 lcd.clear();
 lcd.setCursor(0,0);
  lcd.print("Vaibhav Sugandhi");
  lcd.setCursor(0,1);
  lcd.print("Founder and CEO.");
  delay(bd);
  lcd.clear();
  lcd.setCursor(0,0);
  lcd.print("    for more:    ");
  lcd.setCursor(0,1);
  lcd.print("  74118-04972   ");
  delay(bd);
  lcd.clear();
  lcd.setCursor(0,0);
  lcd.print("utdhbl.wordpress");
  lcd.setCursor(0,1);
  lcd.print(".com");
  delay(bd);
  lcd.clear();
  lcd.setCursor(0,0);
  lcd.print(" Thank You ...! ");
  delay(bd);
}
 Copy the code above and use to dump it in Arduino.
